Kakapo - an 1832 account & head-shagging video

In march of this year, 2014, there were only 126 kakapos left in the world. There shortly follows, an account of the kakapo from the Proceedings of the Zoological Society of London (1832), Volume 20. "Their flesh is white and is generally esteemed good eating." For a more modern description of the kakapo see -
